Please join us in welcoming Christopher Snook to Ralston College as Lecturer in Philosophy and Literature.
A teacher of the philosophy and literature of the Western tradition for more than two decades, Christopher joins Ralston with a distinguished background in Great Books education, literature, theology, and poetry. His research explores themes of home and exile, particularly in the works of T. S. Eliot, David Jones, and Simone Weil, as well as twentieth-century critiques of technology and modernity. Since Christopher is already a familiar voice within the Ralston community through previous lectures on T. S. Eliot, Dante, and Augustine, we are delighted and excited to welcome him more fully into the intellectual life of the College.
Dr Anna Corrias, Director of the Philosophy and Literature Program, writes:

What strikes me most about Christopher is the range of what he reads and what he teaches: from the Desert Fathers to Eliot, from Augustine to William Blake, all held together as one inheritance. Christopher is a very gifted pedagogue, with many years of experience teaching the Western tradition, so he knows very well what it is to sit with students at the beginning of the way, and all along the way. And he is also a poet, with a poet's patience for the text as it actually stands. He will be a precious addition to our common life here."
