Inspired by the communal guidance of the 500-person Boulé (or Βουλή), a council which sustained the city of Athens in classical Greece, Ralston College seeks 500 visionary individuals willing and able to sustain the school by giving $1,000 to $5,000 per year for the next five years.
Collectively, this financial fellowship will fortify the College as a small, but mighty citadel in the world of higher education. It will also signal to those near and far that our mission to revive the conditions of a free and flourishing culture through the rigor and beauty of the humanities is a shared mission, one made possible by the many, not the few.
“Ralston College cannot do the work we see as so essential to civilizational renewal without support. And it’s for that reason, inspired by the Athenians that we have founded a fellowship of 500. This fellowship is for those who believe in the mission of Ralston and are able to support our work philanthropically. In order for the dynamic tradition of passing on a culture to survive, each individual has to act, and we are offering you the opportunity to take action and responsibility yourself. By becoming a 500 fellow, you enter into the very community that supports and drives the crucial activity of Ralston College.” - Dr. David Butterfield, Provost
Enthused by the good will and generosity which has brought us into now our fifth year of full operation, we humbly ask for both new and continued partnership in these next five years. Help us make the second half of our first decade not only an idea, but a meaningful and life-giving reality for all who seek the truth with courage.
