Ralston College is proud to recognize Maria Stepaniuk as the first student to be awarded Distinction in both streams of the MA Humanities program: Greek and Philosophy & Literature.
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Maria moved to the United States to study Computer Science at MIT. After several years working in the tech industry, she felt drawn toward the deeper questions of human life—those found not in code, but in the enduring conversations of philosophy, literature, and language. Her academic interests span linguistics, classical languages, and the arts, and she hopes to contribute to the field of classical education and literary translation in the years to come.
In addition to completing her studies with excellence, Maria is preparing to welcome her first child this summer. We warmly congratulate her on both of these extraordinary milestones.
