is an artist and textile designer and sees drawing as a prelude to understanding; a way to penetrate the appearances of things and discover their underlying structure. Her love of design was kindled at an early age assisting on commissions in her family's studio. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College, and a MA in Textile Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She lives in Savannah with her husband and two children. Mariana curates the College's collections and visual presentation.
